What’s in store for 2019?

So first up apologies for the radio silence. No excuse really – I’d meant to write a lovely sign off post before Christmas thanking you all for your continued support and wishing you and your families a beautiful Christmas. Sadly I ran out of time and if you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that we dashed off for a special Parisian Christmas which was perfect until the Cheltenham Bébé got croup….. it’s been a bit of a blur since then – lots of medical settings on both sides of the Channel and since we’ve been home it’s all been about catching up on some sleep!

All of these excuses have compounded something that has been bothering me for a while. I’ve become pretty used to people asking me how I fit it all in – I used to take it as a bit of a compliment but more recently the busyness that I have forced upon myself in order to get this blog and business up and running has not been making me as happy. I’ve just been wanting to hibernate and have been saying NO to lots of things which is unlike me. Sounds like I’m leading you in to some sad news about the future of CMHQ right?

WRONG! The solution to all of this is very simple. Very risky and scary but really pretty simple. The time has come to ask for help, to scale the beast and to grow. I can’t do that alone and to be honest I don’t want to – it’s a lonely old world this virtual space I find myself in! The time has come to find the right person to help me grow!

So what does that mean? Well for anyone with great computer and social skills looking to take on some part time hours with huge flexibility and the ability to work from home most of the time, then keep your eyes open for a job advert that will follow in January with the role becoming open in February (you could email me too to express an interest in the post). For those of you who love CheltenhamMaman and all that it has offered you over the months and years hold tight for more content. The blog is ramping back up again and I would LOVE to have your words, experiences and ideas on it. Your writing is what makes it so special so do please get in touch sending me your content in a word document with a couple of great pics and an ‘about you’ paragraph written in the third person! This is a community and it’s so important that the voices it features are varied, diverse and represent all opinions and experiences of motherhood.

So that’s me in 2019. Expect more blogs, more MumBoss and in time probably more events. I’m excited and hope that you are too.

But what about you in 2019? I’d love to know what you’re all up to…. lots more mothers will be born I’m sure – thanks for sending any that you know my way -there’s still no judgement here.

Finally it’s time for me to wish you all a very very Happy New Year! However you spend tonight I wish you health, happiness and a clearish head in the morning. Thanks for all of your support in 2018.
