Update on Fashion: Reboot

With only a few weeks to go until Fashion: Reboot rolls back into town I thought I’d touch base and let you all know how the planning is coming along and what the whole event actually is… Don’t know about you but I get easily confused.

The whole idea is that we rent a massive (and cheap) space (keep costs down for you too), glam it up to the nines (this is where Instagram sensation Dee Campling steps in… I know what I’m good at and styling is not it!) we invite loads of amazing women to clear out their closets and stuff all of their great quality (and condition) preloved clothes, shoes, accessories, homeware and more into the boots of their cars, grab a cheap Argos or Ikea clothes rail and set up a mini shop. We team these sellers with a select few local retailers of new stock and before you know it we have a whole market full of ethical glam ready to welcome you.

But wait there’s more…. we hope that you’ll bring your daughters, your mothers and your mates and that generally the evening will be a bit of a jolly as well as a chance to shop so there are some other VITAL ingredients we need to provide.

Number 1 – COCKTAILS (and soft drinks) and the amazing Roz and co at Three Gingers Box Bar will be pulling up in the car park and serving an awesome array of drinks. Oh and there will be free gins in tins to take home from Adnams for the first 100 through the door!

Number 2: Scran – all that shopping is bound to leave you ravenous! Fear not there will be wood fired pizzas for sale courtesy of The Fire Bird Pizza Oven!

Number 3: A bit of a pamper…. Ella Hairdressing (you know that gorgeous salon on the Bath Road) will be there doing a FREE braid bar – so anyone who needs a jazzy hair do for a wedding the next day (like – I don’t know – the Royal Wedding?) definitely come on down.

Sian of Fairy HQ will also be doing hair feathers and sparkles which I’m sure will go down a treat with the youngsters!

Amy of Glow Beauty will be on hand to do FREE mini facials – on a first come first served basis so make sure you’re at the front of the queue!

Finally Katie of Neal’s Yard Remedies will be on site offering mini hand treatments – again first come first served.

Number 4: Style Advice – so pleased to let you know that Sophie of My Stylish Friend (see earlier blog today) will be on hand with her Style Zone – she’ll be offering a bespoke pregnancy and motherhood styling service and will have  a rail full of maternity options!

The event takes place on Friday the 18th May from 6 – 9pm and we have a few pitches to sell left for just £30 (expect to sell your items for between £5 and £25/£30 each depending on what it is, brand and condition.) If you want to come and shop, eat, drink and be pampered tickets are £5 and we can’t guarantee entry on the night as there is a maximum venue capacity.

Our venue for the evening is the massive space that is Stoke Orchard Community Centre – lots of parking and ten minutes from Cheltenham town centre or the M5 Southbound.

Any questions pop me a line… I’ll have a rail as will many other local Mamans – many of whom I know have seriously bulging wardrobes.

So make sure you’re there. It’s a fantastic local event to support – environmentally friendly, inexpensive and social – what more could you need? Hope to see you there – do come and say hi!

Tickets available directly here.
