T Minus Two Days!

T Minus Two Days!

So excited that Maman Goes Pop! starts at 10am on Monday and I’ve got some stunning retail offerings in store for you to enjoy!

Thought I’d take an opportunity to remind you of tickets that remain to be booked for events and also to remind you that the pop up market will be open from 10am- 4pm Monday through until Saturday and for late night shopping on Thursday the 1st November from 6pm – 9pm (with the cafe open so why not come and enjoy a glass of wine with me!)

On Thursday night The Wilson Museum will also be open for their very first #FirstThursday!

First Thursday. is a collaboration of local businesses within the area to find creative ways to engage visitors in a multidimensional experience, by pooling together resources, content and marketing creating a Cultural hub of food, music, performance, art and retail all within walking distance and outside of traditional working hours allowing public to explore and culture hop between venues.

Teaming up together are The Wilson, Badlands Records, Malone’s Vintage, Incom Gaming, The Stable .

Keep your eyes open for the official #FirstThursdaysChelt Facebook events page for the line-up of what’s to come, along with a map of participating venues.

First Thursdays is a public event and free to attend, the cultural quarter stays open until 9pm or later on the first Thursday of every month.

So for those who haven’t booked yet – here’s the schedule again….

The Events Schedule

This time we’ll be closing off the event space at the end of the Mezzanine for most of the week.  The Wilson have got rid of some of the bulky furniture which means we have more space for coffee and a play area. The coffee shop downstairs will as always be serving some fantastic food and drinks. The events space and coffee area will be closed to the public on Thursday the 1st November for a private party (to celebrate the launch of The Window Magazine!) but other than that it’s yours to make full use of so plan those long overdue catch up with friends!

PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR ALL EVENTS ALL CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED BY A RESPONSIBLE ADULT!

Perhaps you are heading back to work, want to feel like you again on the school run or simply want some advice on how best to flatter your post-baby body.
Sophie is brimming with fashion advice and style tips and tricks, and will also host a short Q&A at the end of her sessions, in case there is anything specific you would like to ask. Ticket price also includes a complimentary scarf – the ultimate accessory for feeding and instant style.

Postnatal Yoga class

You worked really hard to bring your baby into the world. And the very best way to recover and restore your body and mind is to give yourself a great big yoga hug!

The postures, breathing and exercises you’ll learn have been chosen to focus on helping your body and mind recover and restore after giving birth.

Postnatal yoga benefits:

  • Relaxes the body and mind to help you recover from childbirth and the demands of a baby.
  • Yoga has been proven to give a significant improvement for women suffering postpartum depression.
  • Improves strength – helping your body deal with the new demands of lifting, changing and carrying all day …and all night sometimes!
  • Improves endurance and stamina – keeping you going when you’re feeling exhausted.
  • Connect with like-minded mums in a calm, supportive and positive environment.
  • Happy mum, happy baby! When you are calm and content, it will help your baby feel calm too.

More about the class

All postpartum mums are welcome, as soon as you are told by your doctor it is okay to exercise (6 weeks or longer depending on how your little one came into the world).

During class, feel free to feed, change, burp, rock your baby, or just take a break whenever you like.

All venues have pushchair access, plenty of space and easy to access parking, so you don’t need to interrupt their nap to get to class.

Class passes are flexible, so you can take classes when it’s best for you, or even take extra classes when you need them.
