It’s always a pressure to find new and innovative ways to make an event stand out especially when you are doing so many of them for often similar people. I’m always on the hunt for great venues that are a little bit different and was totally inspired last night when I attended the launch of Rugby based new business The Parent Pause. Natalie (the founder) brought in all of her living room furniture to dress the stage!
When I was approached by local lady in business Naomi to see if there might be space to showcase her wonderful collection of vintage crockery and glassware I was only too pleased to help!
It was decided that the lucky MumBosses who attended our second social media workshop with George Thorne of She Is Digital would get to try out the tea party vibes but with it being an evening meeting and by chance taking place on the hottest day of the year (so far) it was also great to be able to offer not just tea (although guess who forgot to bring the bog standard teabags) but a glass of chilled fizz too.
Naomi brought along a selection of champagne saucers, cake stands, cake plates and cups and saucers but her whole range offers even more. She can hire out her equipment to all events in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire and can help for events of up to one hundred guests.
I’m picturing quirky weddings in the sun, fun baby showers where the pregnant Mum doesn’t feel left out as she sips tea from the most beautiful, fine bone china cup and saucer and her non prego friends get squiffy on fizz. Hen parties, afternoon tea birthday parties the list is endless and Naomi has cleverly provided a great way to make budget catering look stunning.
She was also immensely helpful on the night, setting up and clearing away – an excellent service that I genuinely recommend any of you Mamans planning an event look into.
Naomi is on Facebook and you can email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
