Gloucestershire Family Awards – Let the Public Voting Commence!

So guys here’s a little update for you and and a plea to get involved with Stage 2 of the Gloucestershire Family Awards! (See here if you missed Stage 1!)

First of all a huge thanks to all of you who came out in your droves to nominate your favourite Gloucestershire based family friendly businesses and workshops. In each of the seven categories we are in a situation where the number nominated needs to be whittled down to a shortlist and this is where the public vote comes in.

Below you will find lists of organisations nominated in each category and a link to select your preferred winner. From today (Thursday the 14th September) until midnight on the 1st October you will be able to place your votes. If you have any direct experience of any of the businesses or individuals nominated and think they deserve to make the shortlist then be sure to make their day by voting for them.

Just a reminder that the awards ceremony and gala dinner are on Friday the 17th November at Stonehouse Court Hotel in Stonehouse near Stroud. Tickets for the event will be available to purchase on the 3rd October and cost £50 to include a drinks reception and your gala dinner and after ceremony disco. Every penny from your ticket fee will be going directly to Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice and it’s worth bearing in mind that every £100 raised will provide specially trained hospice staff to support people at the end of their lives make the most of their final days at home surrounded by those they love.  Many of us will have seen first hand the fantastic work offered by the hospice and it’s staff and volunteers.

So without further delay… here’s the link to view the nominees and place your votes. Thanks for getting involved!
