Huge congratulations to everyone that made it through. Those that didn’t have been notified and told to be extremely proud of the fact they were nominated in the first place.

So what’s next?

Well on a secret date towards the end of October a judging panel will meet at Sue Ryder to choose the winners of each category. I will chair this meeting but will not participate in any part of the decision making due to the fact that I have conflicts of interest in almost all of the categories. The winner of winners will also be selected and will be presented with a voucher for dinner, bed and breakfast at Ellenborough Park Hotel.

The judging panel will consist of a representative from the charity and all of the kind event sponsors. There will be at least three mothers on the panel. All judges will be asked to declare any conflicts of interest in advance of discussing each category. It is in everyone’s interest to keep this process as fair as we possibly can.

Can I come?

Of course you can! I’ll be donning my finest and I’d absolutely love to welcome you there! The black tie event will start at 6.45 on Friday the 17th November at Stonehouse Court Hotel. We hope that there will be a free coach at midnight from the venue to Cheltenham town so guests can leave their car and have a few drinks should they wish to.

Tickets are limited so we suggest that you snap them up quickly and they include a welcome drinks reception, three course meal and a disco afterwards. The wonderful photographer Kate of Little Cheltenham will be operating a fun photo booth to give you some memories to keep forever (£10 donation to Se Ryder required) and we hope to have an incredible raffle. We’ll get in touch with all ticket holders closer to the time to ask if you want to be seated with friends or if you have any dietary requirements.

100% of your ticket fee (£50) will be donated to Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice. So you’ll be doing something pretty incredible by coming along. The button below will direct you to the ticketing portal.

So that’s it for now – tell all your friends and the next time I blog about the Gloucestershire Family Awards (or GFAs as we’ve affectionately now named them) it will be to tell you who are winners were and how much money we raised for this terrific local cause. Really hope to see lots of you there.
