Just a very brief post to share some of the Maman and Maman to be love that those who came along to No 38 The Park experienced yesterday.

We were lucky enough to grill Clemmie Hooper, Mum of four, Insta superstar, midwife and now published author of the current number 1 parenting book in the Amazon charts, How to Grow a Baby and Push It Out.

Clemmie came, she spoke and she well and truly conquered. Her top tips…

On pregnancy… don’t bother with a birth plan – instead draw up your birth preferences. No two births are the same and every single one is truly amazing. All Mums are warriors – be as prepared as you can, using tricks and tools such as hypnobirthing and doulas but go with the flow. Also… Tena Lady disposable pants… not glamorous but a lifesaver!

On newborns… Lockdown for a week post arriving at home. Rest, rest and rest – COOK vouchers and/or homemade meals for your friends who are newborn Mums and keep visitors at bay until you are feeling ready. You will never get that time back and a newborn baby is equally as cuddly (and funny looking) a week in!

On Instagram…. Follow people that make you feel good about yourself. If you gaze at a feed day in day out that makes you feel useless or inferior click that unfollow button!
